Basement Adventures
The last of my woodworking equipment got brought over a few days ago, which meant I could continue working on my Moravian workbench after months of being away from it. I got the feet cut at the right angle and started flattening the top of the leg assemblies before adding the pegs for the top.
And then the sewer line decided to back up into the basement where I'm working. By good fortune, none of my equipment was affected. But it was a messy business getting the city plumbers out to inspect the line and clear the trap. The city gave the landlord notice about a program to get a proper backflow preventer and sump pump installed at a discount.
I tried plunging and snaking the trap. No dice. At least the landlord will get billed for it. If the bleach smell has cleared out by tomorrow, I'll get back to it.
I also got pointed to a Humble Bundle of woodworking books that I might snag.
